Parkhotel Rothof

“Very good value for money, comfortable room, attentive smiley staff, fast check out, very well served by public transport (metro and busses). Easy street parking (free) but the parking garage is also available for €21/night. About the sauna: it’s a 6-minute walk away, inside the tennis club. It’s over 90°C, mixed-gender, and clothing-free. The changing rooms and showers are communal, but separated by gender. There’s a nice cold shower and outdoor access for cooling down, though no cold plunge bath. It’s accessible from 8:00am until midnight. There is no free water fountain, but you can buy water at the gym’s reception. You can’t pour water on the stones yourself, but there’s an automatic aufguss infusion every 20 minutes. The sauna and shower areas were clean, although the changing room floor was not clean at all. It’s a busy gym / tennis club changing room, don’t expect the atmosphere of a luxury spa. That said, we still really enjoyed the experience because the sauna itself is large, quiet, comfortable, with relaxing ambient lighting, and is very warm and smells good.”

“Arrived on Sun May 4th and had a special request which the staff fulfilled right away with friendliness and respect. They were very accommodating. Top-notch rooms, great buffet breakfast, and a 10 min walk to a subway stop. Great location when visiting Munich on a holiday.”
